Hello strangers!

It’s been ages since I posted and I must apologise 😦 It’s been really hectic here with one thing and another. I will fill you in …………….

First my Nan and Grandpops have moved to a new home. They now have a lovely ground floor flat in Poynton which is close to mums sister. This is much better for them mum says as there are no stairs to climb and this makes it safer for them both. A week after their move Grandpops went into hospital (again) for a new hip. The operation went really well and he was back home again after four days which mum thought was very good. He’s doing well again now and walking with two sticks.

Since they moved mum has been really busy trying to get the house they used to live in ready to sell. Cleaning, decorating etc etc. I still get my walks everyday but she is so tired at the moment.

Then some sad news. My friend Missie the cat passed away last Friday. Mum said she was very old and poorly. She says she has gone somewhere called “Rainbow Bridge” and that one day we will all meet up again and Missie will be able to run and play like she did when she was a kitten. I really hope so because I liked her even though she was old and a bit grumpy with me! 😦

I promise to update you all more regularly again now.

Take care & enjoy your Sunday lunch – I will!!

Hoppy things

Went out for a walk as normal today with mum to the DEFRA fields in Marton. I love it there as I can run around and play in the long grass. We got about half way round when I spied the hippy hoppy things on the field near to the woods. They were all eating their lunch and I thought I’d go and join them and say “Hi”. I really don’t understand why, but they saw me coming over and all scattered in every direction. Hopping away quickly into the nearby woods. They are so antisocial, I was only trying to be friendly!! But I guess what would you expect from things that live in holes in the ground!

Normally at this point my old mate “Red” the red setter comes over from the cottage accross the lane to say hello. (I don’t really know that’s his name but it suits him because thats his colour) He’s a nice old guy with a white muzzle. He doesn’t play around though, he says he’s to old for that nonsence. He just comes over, through the hedge and we sniff each other. It’s such a shame as we are about the same size and he would be a great playmate to run around with in the long grass. He didn’t come out today though, which is unusual. I hope that he’s OK? Maybe we will see him tomorrow.

Well back to the car and on our way home. I’ll have a nap then after all this excersion and dream about my beautiful sister Dizzy. She’s gorgeous and I’ve been having dreams about her since last week! Well, I’m a normal red blooded male and dad says dreaming about dizzy blondes is what we do!!

See you all again soon xx

Darcy my brother & litter mate

This is a video taken by Helen when Darcy my litter mate and brother went up to see them all on Saturday. His mum and dad took him along to chose a playmate from the new puppies and they have decided on the little white boy shown playing with them all.

As you can see, Darcy too is very handsome so, as I suspected all along, it must run in the family!! He he!!

Helen gave Ann and Ivan my contact details so I’m really looking forward to meeting them and chasing around. We’ll see then whose fastest and can dodge best!

I heard mum talking to dad when she saw the video about how cute it was and how nice it would be to have a little brother or sister for me to play with (I’ve a sneeking suspision she chose one when we were there the other day which she called Bo!). She said two wouldn’t be any more work than one and they would keep each other occupied. All I heard dad say was that he couldn’t hear her. He must be going deaf! I thought I was the only one in this house with selective hearing!!

I’m not too sure I want to share attention, my raw meat or my crate and teddies with anyone really!

Hope you enjoy the video!

A great day out with mum & dad today

Today mum and dad were up really early (well early for dad anyway!!). After breakfast we all got into the car and I thought “Great, an early walk” (because if we go early usually we go again later!). But NO! We drove and drove for absolutely ages and didn’t stop for a walk at all! Now, I thought, that’s not fair, that’s just teasing! It’s not that I don’t like the car or anything, I do, but, “go in car, usually = walk!!”

Anyway, eventually after ages, mum asked dad how much further it was and he said 20 miles (whatever 20 miles means). I’d been whispering “Are we nearly there yet? for about two hours!

We turned into a drive and we all got out. Then came a distantly familiar voice shouting “Hello, I’m in here, with the puppies”. We all went into a room and I looked round and there was Helen, my first mum surrounded by my new brothers and sisters in their pen. Now I’ve already said on here that they are cute many times but ………. when you see them for real “in the fur” they are gorgeous! They were all playing around and squeaking to each other just like I did with my brothers and sisters. Helen came out and gave me a huge hug (she looked as though she was going to get some of that salty stuff on her face like mum does sometimes!) and kept saying over how big I was and how beautiful and apparantly how much I look like my mummy (No not that mum silly – Judy!! – come on, keep up!). Helen looked after me when I was very small you know. Mum, of course, had to go into the pen and cuddle and fuss them all in turn. (I’ll tell you now I wasn’t too happy with that!). I put my nose to the side of the pen but when they came too close I thought better of it and backed off. “One can’t be too careful with a face like mine you know! They have very sharp claws and teeth!!”

We then went into the house and I met Dusty the border collie first who soon got a bit fed up with me after a bit and told me off! Then the two kitties Marcus and Sasha neither of which was a bit afraid of me and just stared as if to say “Who are you and what are you doing here?”

Once the rain stopped we went out into the garden and Helen let my dad Eli (who Brian thinks I take after), mummy Judy and my little sister Dizzy out to play. We had a fantastic time runing round the garden, playing tag, pestering grandma Deeva and the others Weasel and Kerys. It was really great to see them all again – like I’d never been away! Dad has grown since I last saw him, mummy looks great, especially considering she has just had nine more babies and my little sister Dizzy – well – she’s a blonde bombshell – gorgeous! It’s a shame she’s my sister thats all I can say!

Then Brian came home. I remembered him too – he’s lovely and very kind. He and Helen both thought I was a stunner! a really big boy with a lovely coat, teeth and bones, and a nice nature. I’ve been telling everyone that since I started my blog! Don’t people listen!!

Whilst we were there my dad took a video of us all playing in the garden. Dizzy (with her bone) and daddy Eli are golden and mum Judy and me are black (of course). I’m the one with the red collar in case you didn’t recognise me on film!! You can also see Brian, Helen and mum on there too. I’ve posted it above for you to see how much fun we all had together.

After about an hour we had to leave to come home. I was exhausted from all the playing and runing about but boy, did I have a great time. I slept most of the way home!

Thanks very much Helen and Brian for making us so welcome (again!) and for all the nice things you said about me. It’s all down to your great decision to breed from your two beautiful dogs Eli and Judy really and they have repeated the performance again with the new puppies who I have now seen for myself will be almost as handsome as me!

Oh, sorry, nearly forgot, mum and dad said thank you very much Helen and Brian for a lovely time too!

Go to go now, I’ve had such an exciting day I’m tired out. Time for a nap. I’ll have lovely dreams tonight!

Nighty night xx

Helen and Brian have kindly sent some up to date pictures of the new puppies. I’m getting very jealous as they are really cute now! However, with a big brother like me – what would you expect really?!!

There are still a couple of boys looking for “forever homes” so if you have met me, know how beautiful I am, what a fantastic temperament I’ve got and want a perfect dog (I’m modest I know!) –  then get in touch with Helen and Brian onTelephone: 01756 751816 or Mobile: 07708 831641 or take a look at their website at http://thedogpeople.co.uk.

My favourite bears!

Hi again folks!

Dad was watching Man City play Spurs last night on the TV and I was bored (not getting the attention I deserve I felt!) so I brought a couple of my favourite bear friends into the lounge and played with them instead!

The big bear is my favourite and I carry him around everywhere. The only thing is when he is in my mouth I can’t really see where I’m going so often bump into people and things! The little one is the meercat of the TV called Alexandr Orlov – “Simples!!”

The pictures were taken with mums phone so they are not very clear but I’ve put them on anyway!

Enjoy!

Menacing dad before the match started!!

Me watching the football on TV with dad

Me again with my big bear!!

Me with Aleksandr - Simples!!

Tired now!!

“Rainbow Bridge”

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

Quite a sad story

Mum and I went out for a walk as normal yesterday to Marton – nothing new there then. As she turned into the road I heard from my place in the back of the car that she wasn’t happy with a car behind us. “Don’t get so close! Are you stupid!” etc etc. The  car was really close to us ( I could see him through the back hatch of my car almost on the bumper). He waited until there was a little bit of straight road and sped past and into the distance and disappeared. Mum muttered something like ” driving licence won in a cornflake packet” and carried on.

After about five minutes, she was really distressed. I heard her say something about him being an idiot and she said to me she would have to turn round. She’d seen something at the side of the road. She did so and after a few minutes she stopped the car and put on loads of flashing lights. The roads are really narrow round here. I, of course, thought we were at our normal walk and got quite excited.

She got out of the car and crossed the lane. “What’s going on” I thought? “Why’s she left me in the car?” I was looking out of the window, worried, when….   I saw my mum bend into the road and pick up a baby bunny. She held it for a moment and then after looking closely placed it under the hedge safely. She was really upset when she got back into the car and I saw that salty stuff on her face ( I’ve tasted that before). She told me that the bad man driving the car in front of us has hit the baby bunny and that it had died. It was still warm when she eventually got back to it but she couldn’t do anything to help. It was too late. She didn’t want any other car to run over it though so had put it somewhere safe.

She turned round again and we carried on to our normal place but it was very subdued. Our walk afterwards was in silence. I’ve never seen my mum so quiet and upset. I was a really good boy on our walk yesterday.

Mum says people who have such a disregard for animals as he obviously had can’t be a very nice person either. I agree!

Poor baby bunny. RIP. Let’s hope he’s gone over the Rainbow Bridge with all the others.

These are the latest pics of my baby brothers and sisters

Hi all, hope you are all ok.

Just thought I’d show you a few pics of my new baby brothers and sisters. They are gorgeous and showing potential of being almost as gorgeous as me as I’m sure you’ll agree!!! They now have their eyes open and are not quite so wrinkly as before!

Mum and dad are taking me up to see Helen, Brian, my real mum and dad and the new babies next week which will be really exciting! What I can’t understand is dad says that mum is not allowed to take a pet carrier and her cheque book with her? Why would she want to do that? Maybe you can see or know?

These new babies are possibly looking for new “forever homes”. Anyone whose interested in adopting a baby should look at their website at http://www.thedogpeople.co.uk/
